About Me

Hello! My name is Leyla  and I was born and raised in Queens, NY. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, then went on to complete my Master's in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. Afterward, I became a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. Over the past six years, I've had the privilege of working as a therapist in schools across the city, supporting students with special needs.

Together, we’ll explore what you hope to gain from therapy and what feels most important to you. With children and adolescents, I often spend time explaining what counseling is (especially if it’s their first experience) and focusing on building comfort. My goal is to create a no-pressure space where you can feel safe and begin opening up at your own pace. Therapy can be scary! So I encourage clients to be kind to themselves throughout the process, celebrate progress along the way, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks.

Get in touch!

If you're considering counseling or have any questions about the process, I'd love to hear from you.
